Swell
The Betsey Trotwood, EC1R 3BL , [Venue Details]Swell return to London for their first show here in over 16 years.
It is safe to say no band sounds quite like Swell, and two of the original members, Sean Kirkpatrick and John Dettman Lytle, are hitting the road with two newer members, Philippe Gunst and Tim Adams, to tie in with the reissue of the band's mesmerizing second album ...Well? which was originally released on Beggars Banquet and Virgin Records throughout Europe, where they toured often, including headline slots at Dingwalls and European festivals.
Following the passing of David Freel, Swell did a very successful European tour that found out a lot of fans still cared, with Johan and Phillip from post-punk band Fragment finishing off the lineup. This will be the smallest London show the band has ever played.
